The Middle of the Week Report

The RuneScape Mid-Week Report

If you’ve been living under a rock or a small bush recently, don’t worry, we’re here to tell you what you missed! And you did miss some pretty exciting stuff indeed, kind sir. Or lady. Being sexist is wrong.

With that said, let’s take a deep breath and dive into the news of Gielinor. First of all, Jagex announced an upcoming game update which will include a reasonably exciting new feature, some improvements to the God War Dungeon 2, and run-of-the-mill NXT bug fixes.

What’s the new feature? Boss pets overrides. When you kill a boss, a pet might drop. If it does, you will be able to make your familiars look like a version of that boss. RuneScape developers even promised that these overrides have exciting new animations for your pet’s actions. It remains to be seen what the result will be; however, it sure looks to be a promising, cool, and very welcome cosmetic feature.

If you don’t really care about cosmetics, you might be more interested to hear about the quality-of-life updates to God War Dungeon 2. Nothing much will change, really, you will just be able to reset the instance without having to go outside, boss fights will have kill timers, the kill count interface will have some nifty new options, and boss clickzones will be better. If you want to read more, you’re welcome to head to the Jagex news post .

Finally, Jagex announced a marathon live stream on the 28th of May, on their Twitch channel. The developers promise many exciting reveals, including new updates, exclusive new information on The Arc (Eastern Lands), Solo Boss, Gower Quest, and more. Also, there will be individual keynote announcements of Old School, Idle Adventures, and Chronicle, including new Idle Adventures gameplay, plus information about the details for future updates and plans concerning Chronicle. In between the exciting announcements, there will be informal Q&A sessions with the team, where you will be welcome to attempt to get all of your questions answered. Finally, you will be provided the instructions on claiming and exclusive in-game cosmetic, having something to do with the Summer Summit. The 28th of May seems to be a day to mark in your calendar, boys and girls. We will see you there.

This seems to be all for this mid-week report. We hope that you are more up-to-date on RuneScape news than you were before and we will see you soon.
